Stamping Bella Wedding Wishes

Wedding Card1

Today’s project is a wedding card featuring the Stamping Bella stamp Brett and Brenda Get Married.  I colored the image with Copic markers: E00, E02 (skin tones); YR21, YR31, E15 (Brenda’s hair); E35, E37 (Brett’s hair), R17, R37 (the flowers, heart, and Brenda’s shoes); YG63 (the leaves); B60 (shading on Brenda’s dress), C3, C5, C6, C7, C8 (Brett’s tux); C3 (ground shading); B000, B02 (background).

I cut the focal image out with deckle-edged scissors and highlighted the edges with Broken China Distress Ink.

I used a white gel pen to add faux stitched edges and a dotted background to a black piece of cardstock then attached the focal image with foam tape.  This piece was then adhered to the front of the card.

The stamps and dies used to create the rose are from the Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose Collection.  I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Color Box Lipstick Red Chalk Ink and Memento Bamboo Leaves ink. I added glue and a dusting of glitter to the flower petals for a little glimmer and sparkle.

This a 5″ x 7″ foldout card – I cut a piece of 6″ x 7″ black cardstock, scoring it at 1 inch on the 6-inch edge to create a tab, then used double-sided tape to attach this piece to the right side of the card.  Here is a look at the inside of the card with just the front flap open:

And below is the card fully opened displaying the three inside panels:

The heart borders on the left and right side panels were created with the Die’sire Rococo die.  The leaves were made with a die from the Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose Collection, the doves are from the Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwood Collection, and the bird cage is from the newest Heartfelt Creations release – the Lush Lilac Collection.  The circular die-cuts on the left and right side panels were made with a die from the Elizabeth Craft Designs #1254 Entwined Circles set.

The patterned papers used throughout the card are also from the Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose Collection.

Finally, here is a look at the back when the card is closed:

Tropical Skies Birthday Card

Tropical Window Card.JPG

Here is another fun window card using Elizabeth Craft Designs Fitted Frames 1 – Lace Rectangles #1061 to create the window frame.

The main image features stamps from the Gina K. Designs stamp set Framescape – Tropical Skies by Theresa Momber.  I stamped the sun with Colorbox Canary and Caliente Pigment ink, then masked it to color in the sky with Colorbox Canary, Caliente, and Scarlet pigment inks and the water with Stampabilities Baby Blue and Royal Blue pigment inks and Colorbox Ocean pigment ink. I removed the mask and blended a little Colorbox Ocean ink into the sun’s reflection and also added Copic markers B95 and B97 at the horizon line.

The bird and trees were stamped with Stampin’ Up Basic Black and Wink of Stella was used to add a little glimmer to the water and sky.

I used Heartfelt Creations Wildwood Florals stamps and dies to create the flowers then colored them with Colorbox Canary and Scarlet pigment inks and added a dusting of fine glitter to make them sparkle.

I created additional embellishments with various dies, including Memory Box 99722 Cheerful Crabs, 99229 Garland Greenery, and 99386 Tiny Turtles.  I also used both Lawn Fawn and Impression Obsession Palm Tree dies.  Finally, the vine at the top of the frame was created with one of the Heartfelt Creations Delicate Border dies (#HCD1-7118).

All of the patterned paper is from Heartfelt Creations Tropical Paradise Paper Collection.

Tropical Window Card Inside

The inside of the card features more dies from Memory Box, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Lawn Fawn, and Reverse Confetti as well as another stamped image from the Gina K. Designs Framescape Tropical Skies set.

Tropical Window Card Back

A plain backside just didn’t seem right, so I created a little scene with Heartfelt Creations Tropical Paradise paper and a few stickers and die cuts.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and have a fun, crafty week!

The Big 6-0 . . . A Real “Kicker” of a Card!

Kevin 2015 BD Front

The front side features a clipart donkey that I colored with Copic markers, a computer-generated message, several stickers, and a die-cut pine branch from Sizzix Holiday Greens, #658759.  (Who said pine branches are just for Christmas?!)

Inside, I used a great stamp from Lili of the Valley, stamp # ST310 Yee Haa! which was also colored with Copic Markers. The funny thing about this image is that I had actually colored it quite some time ago, but never had the right occasion to use it.  Then when I was creating this card, I felt that the left inside panel just needed a little extra “oomph” — and Voilà! it came to me that this little boy and dog would be the perfect added touch.

The donkey on the right interior panel is another clipart image, but this one came pre-colored.  It decorates a separate mini card that features Karen Burniston’s Happy Birthday Pop-Up #947 from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I used one of the dies from the By DieZyne Half Brackets set to cut the top and bottom edges of the pop-up piece while Spellbinders dies were used to cut out the donkey image and shape the front of the mini card.

A few more stickers, pine branches and Leafy Branch Mini (Cottage Cutz) die-cuts, and another computer-generated message complete the inside.

Hope you liked the card!

This card was made using some of Art Impressions great watercolor stamps.  I colored the image using Marvy LePlume markers.  Art Impressions has a great video here (Project 1), including marker colors.  There is also a great tutorial on their watercolor DVD.

Once the stamping and coloring was completed, I cut out the focal image with a Spellbinders Circle die and mounted it on a Spellbinders Floral Doily Motif (S5-041) die-cut from black cardstock.  The Happy Birthday Stand Up Helper from Elizabeth Craft Designs and pattern paper from Gina K. Designs “Parisian Garden” were used as well.
